...I tried...really hard...and I was fantastic...untill just before dinner Miss 5 and Master 6 suddenly decided to use all the biscuit tins we own as drums and their pencils as drum-sticks.. "NO... NOT NOW PLEASE!' ...that's all I said...and quickly corrected myself and went back to "not Yelling' mode...But I failed!!! I promise to try harder tomorrow!

I gave up early today...too hot to keep calm! I did not yell...but was in general a little grumpy...and am not feeling guilty for blaming the HEAT for this...but definitely not giving myself the Gold Coin yet!

Nearly there but not really...This time I had to shout at Nero, our 5 month old Doberman puppy...Now he cannot understand reasoning can he? Should I inaugurate the 'Rhino Bank' or not? Speaking of the 'Rhino Bank', I haven't yet found a good money bank or for that matter any money bank that looks like a Rhino...any ideas anybody? (look what I found while browsing however...awesome origami!)

Not yelling when the kids are making a mess in the toy room is after all not that tough...All you need to do is walk away...and let them be happy (and enjoy a peaceful cuppa with their giggles as a background score)...And then when u are not MAD anymore...trot back and help them pack up! BUT not yelling when they mess up a chair that you have just finished re-upholstering, yourself!!!...well that's tough!

It's going to happen...I am sure...I can feel it...This weekend! I am going to score the first Gold Coin...I am determined... Will update you on my next post whether I made it or not!...  

Resolution for 2014 - the ORANGE RHINO challenge

Along with the normal 'Loose Weight', 'Save Water', 'De-clutter' and the likes...my most interesting resolution for this New Year seems to be THE ORANGE RHINO CHALLENGE. Quoting the original challenger - 'I want to be a mom who has the energy and determination to forge ahead and parent with more composure and warmth and without the yelling!'

Not that I am a crazy yelling Mum at all times, but with 2 kids under 7, a Doberman Puppy, a brand new house, an unfinished garden, a brand new Studio with 50 odd students and a workaholic Mr. Husband...it gets crazy at times... To know a little bit more about this special challenge feel free to read this.

I have decided to bump this up a little higher for myself...(as you know a treat at the end of any challenge always works)... I will put aside one Gold Coin (read $2 AUD for non-Aussie residents) for every day that I am YELL FREE. And I will share my experiences, my victories, my losses and my lessons in here with you... Now I am off to find a Rhino Piggy Bank in Orange if it exits in the market place (Or else I am going to make myself one)!
